What to watch out for
Peak-hour commutes to South Mumbai, BKC or the western suburbs can be long, and roads near the station get congested. Metro 4 is not carrying passengers yet, and the full line to Wadala is further away, so plan around what is running today rather than what has been announced. New launches in Thane have also picked up, so compare several projects and negotiate rather than rushing. Older buildings near the station may be due for redevelopment — check the building’s age, society records and parking before you commit.
